What They Hear
Methodology
Color Palette
Define visual patterns, color schemes, typography, and compositional techniques to create a modern, sporty, and user-friendly interface for a tennis club.
The analysis was conducted based on visual criteria:
  • Color palette
  • Typography
  • Visual hierarchy
  • Interface components
  • Use of photos and icons
  • Responsiveness
For the study, 10 sports and tennis organization websites were analyzed, including:
General Trends:
  • Light interfaces dominate (white/grey backgrounds) with accents in green, blue, or yellow.
  • Common pattern: clean white background + bright CTA (yellow, green, or lime button).
  • Color palettes convey freshness, energy, sport, and trust.
Project Recommendation:
  • Use a base color combination of white + tennis green (neon shade), dark green, and light blue.

Key Findings:
  • Headings use geometric grotesques (Montserrat, Poppins, Outfit) — create a sporty and modern look.
  • Body text uses neutral sans-serifs (Open Sans, Inter, Lato) — readable on both mobile and desktop.
  • Emphasis is achieved through weight, not color — maintaining minimalism and clarity.
Project Recommendation: Montserrat

  • A 12-column grid predominates, with large spacing and plenty of “white space.”
  • Content is arranged in large blocks, often asymmetrically.
  • On mobile, the layout logic is preserved, but elements become vertical and CTAs remain at the bottom of the screen.
Project Recommendation:
  • Follow principles of white space and visual rhythm to maintain a sense of openness and dynamism.

UI Research helped define visual principles that make the website:
  • Visually clean and light
  • Dynamic and sporty in mood
  • User-friendly for navigation and actions
The results formed the basis for the UI design, guidelines, and component system for the tennis club website.
